Your doctor may decide to provide you with a repeat prescription. You can request a repeat prescription in one of the following ways:
- Order your prescription online - please complete and return to the practice for a username and password or contact the practice.
- Place your repeat prescription slip in box at main entrance at the Health Centre (please allow 2 working days)
- Alternatively hand in a local pharmacy (please allow 3 working days).
- Have your prescription sent by post (please include a stamped addressed envelope).

We will not accept repeat prescription requests by telephone due to the risk of medication error.
Acute medication requests (short-term medications not on repeat)
Acute medication requests should be made using the same methods as above for repeat medications.
Medication requests following hospital appointments
Following a hospital appointment, we may be advised that the clinic would like us to consider an alternative medication. If you require this in the 7 days immediately after the appointment, the clinic should provide you with a prescription. After we receive notification of a new medication, it will take 48 hours for us to process this request.
You may be asked occasionally to see the doctor before your next prescription is due. This is to ensure that your medications are still appropriate for you. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to arrive at the chemist to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
